Water disinfection with UVC is the natural way of disinfecting an important resource, which we must protect and sustain. Of all possible methods of disinfection, this is the surest and most reliable. It is something learned from nature because the light of the sun helps to kill harmful micro-organisms in water.
The UV systems which we offer are used throughout the world and enjoy the total confidence of operators as well as national and international authorities, whether they are used in small private plants, in industrial applications or in communal water treatment plants.
The benefits of water disinfection by means of UVC over other methods are perfectly clear: no chemicals are used, the water retains its natural taste and smell and there is no formation of any by-products which could be detrimental to health. And all this at extremely low maintenance costs and low capital and operating costs.
The effectiveness of UVC disinfection is beyond question and it has been proven by type testing at DVGW and bio-dosimetric measurements.
There is no danger of over- or under-dosage, as maximum operational safety is derived by the use of UVC sensors, which deliver a signal with information on lamp aging, immersion tube cleanliness and transmission variations (transmissivity of the water for UVC at 253.7nm) and give warning of insufficient UVC-dosage.
UV flow through devices have a decisive advantage over immersion tube lamps in that the UV dosage necessary for certain disinfection is always guaranteed by a defined enclosure geometry, namely the resulting annulus and the fixed maximum volume flow. Accordingly, flow through devices exclusively can be certified in conformity with NSWF, O-Norm and DVGW.
